We help youth with serious learning difficulties and psychiatric/neurological challenges such as lead exposure, violence brain injury. Attention Deficit and Anxiety disorders are further burdened by minimal or no timely or distance access to specialists. A flexible format allows our professionals to use strategies that are tailored to address each child's learning style, skills, interests, and needs.
Our family-centered tutoring, mentoring, school advocacy and mental health combined service model originally started at the University of Illinois and Rush University Medical Centers. It has expanded to serve hundreds of west side Chicago and Oak Park children in schools since 1988
Our interdisciplinary team offers services from individual treatment to school consultation to educational rehabilitation planning and intervention. Trained facilitators work together with families and children to create and maintain portfolios that document children's progress.
