Sunny M Rude

Psychiatric Nurse , NP, MS , BC

(520) 369-4365
As a board certified child, adult, and family psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am trained to work with a wide range of psychological difficulties and different stages of life. I initiate healing by being genuinely kind and compassionate. I use exceptional listening skills to carefully diagnose the issues and to work collaboratively with you to facilitate change. Both traditional and alternative treatment methods may be suggested. Resolving the underlying causes, not just the symptoms, helps to bring more deep and lasting results. I follow evidence based practice yet remain open-minded so that I can think creatively and "out of the box" when needed.
Traditional care may include individual or family therapy, nutrition, and/or the prudent use of medication that considers the short and long term effects of medication use. Alternative methods may include meditation, massage, spiritual work, and energy work. I collaborate with numerous alternative practitioners and can facilitate referrals.
I have two years of experience helping individuals and families through psychological difficulties. I also have four years of experience helping people with medical illnesses as an ICU nurse. My graduate work had a special focus on parent-child attachment. I truly love what I do and hope I can be of service to you!
