I am a psychiatrist trained in child, adolescent and adult psychoanalytic psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. I also consult with families and couples. My work is based upon an empathic interactive stance enriched with developmental principles, and ensures that the needs and goals of the the patient are in the forefront.
I believe that medication alone is rarely indicated, and that the best help involves the formation of a personal relationship based on developing understanding and trust. As a child psychiatrist, I also do play therapy to help a child resolve developmental impasses and pain.
