As of 11/27/23 I have No Current Openings for new patients due to a full schedule (I do not keep a waiting list, but feel free to check back after the first of the year). I am a psychiatrist offering medication treatments and/or psychotherapy as appropriate. Most of my patients struggle with anxiety or depression, although I also have broad experience in treating ADHD, bipolar disorder, as well as various issues of life adjustments and relationships. Note that I do not specialize in treating children and adolescents, couples therapy, or addiction treatment. I offer either video or in-person sessions.
My psychotherapeutic approach has a narrative basis, as I try to identify the values and sources of meaning in a person's life over time. For me the goal of psychotherapy is always greater integration, both within oneself and with the world.
I have a particular interest in the arts, spirituality, and philosophy as they inform the scope and practice of psychiatry. As a therapist I would say that I am moderately active and directive: I think listening is paramount, but I don't hesitate to comment and interpret.
