"As a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with a minor in alternative healing practices, my approach is one of integrating mind, body, spirit to promote healing on the deepest levels. With over 25 years of clinical experience as a nurse, my focus is patient-centered, holistic care. My mission is to promote self-understanding and mindfulness through provision of psychotherapy with an emphasis on the mind-body connection. I also provide Reiki.
I am trained in sensorimotor psychotherapy for the treatment of trauma. The body retains the "imprints" left behind after trauma. Patterns of inexplicable behavior throughout our lives, leads to confusing, self-sabotaging behavior. New, empowering movements are learned and experienced, and the body returns to a place of refuge.
Reiki is energy healing used for stress reduction and relaxation which promotes healing within mind, body, & spirit.
By listening deeply with compassion and understanding, I will walk with you as a partner on your healing journey. The cultivation of inner awareness can heal diseased mind states and lead us toward living happy, fulfilling lives."
