My areas of expertise are reproductive psychiatry (pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, infertility), as well as mood and anxiety disorders in both genders. My extensive experience, knowledge and multicultural sensitivity, have shaped my approach to treatment as individualized and holistic. I am combining integrative methods with psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic modalities to address complex mental health difficulties and treat them successfully. Sarah Ritter is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Illinois who has been practicing since 2015. She has a Master's of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago as well as a Master's of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Sarah offers thoughtful psychiatric medication management with an emphasis on nutritional interventions whenever they are just as or more effective than pharmaceutical interventions. Additionally, she offers supportive and solution-focused psychotherapy integrated with medication management.

While understanding the importance of identifying specific diagnoses, I strive to break apart labels and eliminate associated stigmas. I believe everyone falls on a continuum of multiple diagnoses, most of which are rooted in generational and childhood trauma. She received her psychiatric training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is currently an attending psychiatrist and the psychiatric medical student site director at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. She has a strong background in both medication management and psychotherapy, and believes in tailoring treatments to the individual, considering holistic and lifestyle changes equally as important as medications.

Rachael Benson is a Certified Physician Assistant. Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Microbiology and Cell Sciences, and a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Tampa, FL. At graduation, Rachael was also inducted into Pi Alpha, the National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. Rachael gained a passion for psychiatric work during her PA education.

Dr. Onyejiaka, a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Pediatrician, received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Combined B.A/M.D. Program. She endured further training at the Tulane University Triple Board Residency Program where she specialized in pediatric medicine, general psychiatry, as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. Additionally, she attended in the New Orleans'-Birmingham Psychoanalytic Center Honorary Fellowship Program prior to relocating to Chicago in recent years. Dr. Onyejiaka is an active member of the International Society for Sports Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Outside of the office, Elizabeth enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband, two children and their dog, soap making, and spending time outdoors.

She has ten years of experience in caring for individuals who face mental health and developmental conditions within both clinic and hospital settings. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago and underwent specialized training in child psychiatry.
