My journey into psychiatric mental health care spans diverse experiences. Originating from Ghana, I earned degrees in Marketing, Psychology, and Political Science before delving into nursing in the United States. With a background in nursing education and a focus on PMHNP, I am pursuing my DNP.

I am Kristen Dale, PMHNP-BC, licensed in the states of Colorado and Texas. I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and my graduate degree from the University of Texas Health and Science Center Houston. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center on the thoracic and cardiovascular surgery unit, Menninger Clinic on the Professionals in Crisis Unit, Neuropsychiatric Center, Harris County Jail, Harris County Psychiatric Center, Heading Health, and have provided psychiatric consult services to various nursing homes.

I'm Alexis Adams, a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for empowering individuals through their mental health journey. My educational background includes a recent MSN from Frontier Nursing University and a strong foundation in nursing and psychology from Colorado State University and the University of Colorado at Boulder. I am also a current functional psychiatry fellow with Psychiatry Redefined. My clinical expertise spans across various settings, including labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, emergency care, and mental health. My career began in 1993 as an LPN in the U.S. Army, leading to a BSN from the University of Phoenix and an MSN from the University of South Alabama, focusing on psychiatric care. I earned a Gerontological NP certificate in 2010 and a DNP in 2015. Additionally, I'm certified in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy. With over 31 years across diverse medical fields, my holistic approach integrates mind, body, and soul wellness, continually advancing nursing excellence.
