I am an experienced Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's Degree in Nursing from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. I was honored to receive Northwell Health’s Advanced Clinical Providers Recognition Award in the Department of Psychiatry in 2019. I work with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and insomnia.

I am a Columbia University trained psychiatrist and former chief resident of the Columbia Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. I provide psychotherapy and medication management for a range of life events and difficulties including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, panic, bipolar disorder, OCD, and substance use problems. I am skilled in psychopharmacology and a range of therapies including supportive therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Together we will develop a personalized treatment plan to meet your needs at this time.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), who is Board Certified to treat the age span (Child, adolescents, adult) in all aspects of mental health care. I have over 20 years experience in Mental Health in all settings (inpatient/outpatient). My focus is psychopharmacological treatment (medication management). My role was founded on the nursing process and therapeutic relationship and include: educating patients and families; diagnosing, treating, and managing acute illness; providing psychotherapy; prescribing medication for acute and chronic illness; diagnosing, treating, and managing acute illnesses.

In combination with psychotherapy, I can also prescribe medications when indicated as they can be very helpful in alleviating your daily symptoms.
