I am a nurse practitioner who is board certified in both family practice and psychiatric mental health. I have been in practice for 25 years as both a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner. I have extensive experience in psychiatric mental health, emergency medicine, and working with adolescents and the elderly. I am able to treat many mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, dementia and Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injuries, and much more. My practice has developed an ADHD program for out patients who have or are curious if they have ADHD. Call to lean more!

We care for adults, adolescents, and children, ages 5 and above. We accept most insurance plans including Medicare.

I love working with clients in various stages of their life. Our mental health needs change depending on where we are in life and sometimes you can feel like you've lost your way. I see children, teens, college students, and adults. Additionally, I provide care for expectant and postpartum mothers. I am experienced in the treatment of depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, and behavioral issues like oppositional defiant disorder.

Dr. Sherin Parvez is an experienced psychiatrist who specializes in adult mental health diagnosis & treatment. She is up to date with the current cutting edge advancements in the medical field of Psychiatry. She seamlessly combines her training & experience into her practice. Dr. Parvez has more than 10 years of experience in the medical field, which includes her work in Internal Medicine, ObGyn, NeuroPsych, and General Psychiatry. She finished her residency at the University of Missouri, School of Medicine, Columbia.

Ideally, I prefer to work with clients who are ready for change. They have taken a look at their mental health, and while they may not know exactly what is going on, they know something is not right and they want help. I love to work with people who want to partner with me to come up with a treatment plan, and then own that treatment, participating fully in their care. I strongly believe medication management can be an integral part of mental health, but without psychotherapy and embracing changing what is not working, it cannot do the job alone.

As Medical Director, I enjoy the privilege of overseeing some of the most earnest, empathetic, and talented office and medical professionals in the field. Together, we represent an exceptionally skilled group that genuinely loves what we do and the patients we do it for. In my own recent past as Vice-Chair of Medicine at Tampa Community Hospital; and, as a lead resident at Department of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, I saw there was a fairly large gap between the standard of mental care needed by patients and that which was typically delivered in terms of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.
