I'm an adult psychiatrist, fluent in English and Spanish who specializes in treating depression and treatment resistance depression. I completed my training at Yale School of Medicine as the chief resident of Intervention Psychiatry Services at Yale Psychiatric Hospital. I offer comprehensive diagnostic consultations with specific and individualized treatment recommendations. Should you choose me as your provider, I will monitor the effectiveness of your medication regimen over a course of time to determine if the treatment meets your goals.

Welcome! We are a group practice of 60 licensed counselors and medication providers. We have a multi disciplinary team which is trained in several models to tailor each of our clients needs. Dr. Ernesto Gonzalez is a board certified adult psychiatrist. He completed his undergraduate training at Yale University and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School Adult Psychiatry Training Program. Dr. Gonzalez prefers a holistic approach that takes the time to know the whole patient, incorporating biological, psychological, social, and cultural perspectives in crafting a comprehensive, individualized, treatment plan.

Mental health and substance abuse is my passion. I have worked both in outpatient and in-patient settings. Extensive work history with special populations and covering the full spectrum of mental health issues. Providing medication management, counseling, assessments among other services. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Ingrid assesses and treats adults and adolescents with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and personality disorders. Her focus is on treatment, psychiatric assessment, psychotherapeutic interventions, and medication management.

My passion for empowering and aiding individuals in their wellness journey began 20 years ago. While working with under-served communities in New Haven and Hartford Counties, I was fortunate enough to interact and develop meaningful relationships with individuals of various cultural backgrounds. I continue to apply this philosophical thinking and practice while serving my patients in order to provide an individualized, holistic treatment. I utilize various forms of psychotherapy, complimentary approaches and/or medications to help ease mental health struggles.

I am an ANCC board-certified Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about delivering innovative mental health care, including psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adolescents and adults. Our practice combines both medication management and psychotherapy modalities to achieve sustainable and safe outcomes. As many of us know, treatment takes a collaborative and multimodal approach that is unique and individualized based on each person's desired goals and outcomes. Unresolved emotional conflicts lie at the core of human suffering at times life can be unusually painful, scary and confusing. We may feel anxious, sad, discouraged and alone and not know what to do. Talking things out with someone can help us become clearer about who we are, our strengths and also our self-defeating ways so we can move forward with an improved sense of self and direction. As a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am an expert in clinical psychopharmacology and I treat all adult and pediatric disorders I see individuals from their early teens through middle age and beyond.
