My name is Fernando and I have been a therapist for 22 years. I have a doctorate in special education, which allows me to do comprehensive developmental evaluations and psychiatric for pediatric patients exhibiting developmental delays. I have a postgraduate certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, which allows me to prescribe and treat various psychiatric disorders. I have another master’s degree in family and marriage therapy, as well as a second master’s degree specializing in advanced practice family medicine. Dr. Varshney is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine and Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Varshney was born and raised in Sikkim, India. She graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Dr. Varshney completed her residency in psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine/ Elmhurst Hospital Center, in New York City. She then went on to complete a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Worcester, Massachusetts, Department of Law and Psychiatry.
