After returning to the United States, I spent some time with my family in Tampa, FL and put myself through the tedious licensure process here. Four exams and around a dozen clinical internship experiences later, I found myself finally beginning my post-graduate training in General Adult Psychiatry in Miami, FL. I offer psychiatric evaluations and medication management for anyone over 16 years of age suffering with symptoms that cause impairment in any aspect of life (e.g., professional, personal, social, self-care). I help my patients manage discomfort due to depression, anxiety, symptoms of bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, attention deficit, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, among others. Therapy begins with an extensive evaluation taking into account the patient's medical/psychiatric history, medical conditions, family history, previous treatment. Together we will establish individualized goals and monitor improvement in symptoms.

My name is Fernando and I have been a therapist for 22 years. I have a doctorate in special education, which allows me to do comprehensive developmental evaluations and psychiatric for pediatric patients exhibiting developmental delays. I have a postgraduate certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, which allows me to prescribe and treat various psychiatric disorders. I also have experience treating patients with anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), thought disorders such as schizophrenia and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I’m also experienced in buprenorphine maintenance therapy, helping patients maintain abstinence from opioids.

Dr. Yveline Jacques is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida. Dr. Jacques has been in the medical field for over 25 years and has been practicing psychiatry for the past eight years. She is certified to treat clients across the lifespan, but she specialized in adult psychiatry, helping clients with a variety of psychiatric illnesses including major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia.

Born and raised in Cuba, Dr. Carmona received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in GI & Family Medicine at the Havana Medical School, and practiced as a physician from 2002 to 2009. In 2007, Dr. Carmona moved to the Republic of Namibia in Southern Africa, where for two years he provided critical medical services to roughly twenty-five thousand people living in rural villages and isolated areas.
