Hey there! I'm Alex and I am a registered social worker and trauma therapist. I have always been incredibly passionate about working with trauma and have dedicated my career to gaining knowledge and expertise on how to effectively and safely work with it. My professional background largely involves hospital work in the emergency department, mobile crisis, and outpatient mental health. I have a special interest in supporting fellow healthcare workers and first responders given my own experience working in a high stress environment with frequent trauma exposure.

My hope is to provide a space where you can feel understood, validated, and motivated to move forward. I will work with you to understand yourself on a deeper level and to address root causes of current life problems.

My approach is client-centered and collaborative, meaning I will ask for your input, preferences, and goals. I try to bring my authentic self into my sessions and I incorporate a healthy dose of humour when appropriate!
