Do you find yourself overreacting to things that don’t seem to phase the people around you? Maybe you can’t keep it together at work, your kids set you off, or waiting in traffic makes you sweat. Over time, struggling to cope effectively with your life’s stressors can leave you feeling like something is wrong with you, that you’re all alone, and worse still, like there’s nothing you can do to help yourself.
I know that with the right support, change is possible. I think therapy should be both compassionate and challenging. As a therapist, I am empathetic and understanding, but I don’t let people sell themselves short. My job isn’t to hold your hand while you suffer, it’s to push you to heal and grow so that you can solve your own problems.
My style is relaxed, non-judgmental, and direct. I am professional, but I’ll be honest and let you know that I am not polished. I speak plainly, I curse, and I say what I mean and backtrack as necessary. I laugh easily and I love dark humour, so I welcome you to be yourself with me. If it sounds like we might work well together, feel free to get in touch.
