Has someone really important in your life died? Someone that you never imagined having to live without? I know that the death of a significant person in your life can be devastating. Even worse, they might have been the person who would comfort you in your toughest moments and now they're gone. Grief in this magnitude can be destabilizing and leave you to wonder if you're going to be able to survive the relentlessness of it all. If you've tried avoiding the pain or "acting normal" but it hasn't worked, I can give you the space and guidance to come apart and then help you put yourself back together in a different and meaningful way.
I use a trauma-informed approach to create space for you to explore what's happening to you because your important person died. I'll help you to find ways to endure the pain of your grief and loss while respecting you as the expert. I want to help you maintain a connection to your person in a culture that doesn't give grief the time it deserves.
I work with clients who have experienced the death of someone important in their life (that could be a spouse, partner, parent, child, friend or someone else). I would be honoured to work with you during your most challenging of moments. And all of you is welcome in the therapy room; Snot, tears, laughter - whatever shape you and grief take day by day.
