I truly believe that everyone is doing the best they can, in each moment of life, given the environment they grew up in and the tools they have learned along the way.
I take an eclectic approach in my work with clients drawing upon various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, positive psychology, and mindfulness. I pride myself in coming from a ‘not knowing’ stance since everyone experiences life in their own, unique way.
I believe it takes an incredible amount of strength and courage to make the first call or step foot into a therapist’s office, and I honour that first step. The tools for change are within each client and it is my role, when ready, to support them in their journey towards positive mental health.
