Welcome! You feel like you feel for very good reasons. Symptoms of anxiety and depression are a natural response to real life experiences. Unfortunately, we can struggle to find our internal resources when these events occur, and then we have great difficulty using our resources and natural wisdom to make changes to get better. I work within a range of CBT and DBT informed strategies, to gain mastery over problems that can seem unsolvable. I am a Social Worker in Alberta with over 20 years of experience in concurrent practice. I specialize in working with adults and have worked with clients on a range of mental health concerns including difficulties regulating emotions, anger, relationship issues, managing stress, alcohol or substance use, gambling, depression and anxiety.
I am empathic and caring, and strive to create a collaborative, safe, supportive and nonjudgmental environment for you to explore ideas and strategies that can help you get unstuck. I have a special interest and extensive training and experience in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). I have worked with DBT teams providing both individual and group therapy.
