I’m a long-time educator and school counsellor with more than three decades as a teacher and five years of dedicated school counselling experience. I’m deeply committed to helping children of all ages navigate life’s challenges. As we humans grow, our brains learn and develop by making important connections, some healthy and some not so healthy, depending on the environment in which we live and interact. Our bodies carry the experiences as well. We do our best to adjust to our day to day lives, but frequently it can be overwhelming navigating family dynamics, school expectations and social interactions. We need help to find balance.
As a private counsellor, I am eager to invest the time and energy needed to address the significant issues our young people face today. My training encompasses childhood trauma, anxiety, grief, divorce, and collaborative problem-solving in parenting. In my practice, I integrate a variety of counselling approaches within Sandtray Therapy.
I take my job very seriously. I am here to create a felt sense of safety, hope, strength and resilience. I am a fellow traveller, who has walked her own hard journey through life. My expertise has gifted me with deep compassion, ample knowledge, and a strong capacity for problem solving. My goal is to empower my clients to live a full and satifying life.
