For the past 25 years as a therapist and Registered Clinical Counsellor, my work with individuals and groups has been focused predominantly on grief and loss, relationship issues, depression, anxiety and trauma. My work combines my own personal development, lessons my clients have taught me, my education and professional development trainings in Trauma Recovery, Sensorimotor Processing, Somatic techniques, CBT and Psychodynamic therapy. I have a passion for helping individuals heal difficult emotions and find a way to create a life they love and be the person they admire.
My approach in therapy is to use a combination of talk therapy, and learning helpful strategies to manage symptoms, body awareness and mindfulness. We consider your current life, your experiences and your history as we work together. Beginning with short term solutions, we can work to discover the source of issues so that therapy helps over the long term.
Your therapy and a treatment plan will be mutually developed from a holistic perspective, including mind, body, emotions and spirit. This helps you understand more clearly what might be preventing you from finding happiness and peace of mind and tapping into your intuition and inner wisdom. I look forward to working with you.
