The relationship between our physical body and our self confidence is a complicated one. I help clients face long-standing beliefs about their self-worth, body image, eating and wellness behaviours. In addition to collaborating on improving your maladaptive self-related behaviours, we also may explore certain influences to your beliefs such as your relationships, culture, and other intersections in your identity. Ideally, my client enters therapy to reach self-understanding and compassion through implementing adaptive changes in your behaviour and cognition.
Every person is unique therefore my approach will incorporate your personality. Drawing from humanistic interventions, I offer psychotherapy that is strengths-based and solution-focused while trauma-informed with influence from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
