Deciding to make a change requires lots of courage. It requires even more courage and effort to take the first steps towards it. And the fact that you are here reading these lines means that you have already started your journey and I can assist you with the rest. I have several years experience of working in the mental health area and a vast theoretical knowledge of multiple modalities in therapy. In addition to my private practice I also work in the Family Services York Region (FSYR) as a psychotherapist where I work with individuals (including adults, youths, and children), couples, and families and run various groups.
I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused/Brief Therapy, Triple P, and Feminist Psychotherapy.
My doctoral training in feminism have made me passionate about working with women and other marginalized people. I strive to empower my clients to see their strengths and achieve their goals in a safe supportive and non-judgmental space where they can be heard with empathy and compassion.
