I have worked in a role supporting our community for the past 16 years. 9 years ago I became a counsellor to fulfill my passion to help families get the most out of life. I work with adults, children, youth, parents, and families. I support people with ADHD/self regulation, anxiety, ASD, self-esteem, parenting skills, developing social-skills, emotion management, and school issues. I am familiar with the school system and the processes within it, which allows me to advocate effectively for my clients.
I approach counselling through an empathetic lens, focusing on a genuine connection with my clients. I allow the client to guide me in my therapeutic process to allow for optimum opportunity and growth. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused, Emotion focused, Client centered, Narrative, Play and Art assisted Therapy in my practice.
I believe that everyone has the strength within to overcome life’s hurdles and succeed in their chosen path. As a mother to two young children, I flourish when supporting families and children as they grow and develop together. I approach counselling through an empathetic lens, choosing a method that suits my clients and offers opportunity for growth.
