Our minds and hearts have a natural inclination toward healing and wellbeing. But sometimes, those natural forces are blocked or stifled by unhelpful stories we have been told about ourselves, unjust social forces, isolation, trauma, or any number of other challenges. Together, our work will be to unblock those healing systems, and move toward healthier connections with friends, family, community, the natural world, and with yourself. In addition to being a therapist, I work as a theatre artist and post-secondary educator. This other side of my life infuses my sessions with humour and creativity.
I work with individuals from age 12 to end-of-life, as well as couples and intimate relationships of all kinds. I have specific training in working with queer, trans, and gender-diverse clients, as well as in navigating kink, poly and ENM relationships. I also see clients for anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and in development of healthy masculinity.
My approach will focus on the stories you tell yourself (and that others have told to you), on the values that are dearest to you, and on granting yourself self-compassion.
