I believe the formation of a strong therapeutic alliance is detrimental to the therapeutic process, wherein it is built on trust, empathy, acceptance, and mutual understanding. With a passion for learning and development, I am always willing to inform my knowledge based on client presentation of problem(s), ensuring each receives an appropriate scope of treatment and understanding. I've worked with a variety of clients from various backgrounds; namely those experiencing trauma or stressor related symptoms and/or disorders, often as a result of a traumatic workplace or career related event(s). I've also worked with disabilities.
I use an integrated approach to inform my practice, wherein treatment is formed around each client’s unique story while simultaneously providing the utmost guidance and support to those seeking treatment. My experience reflects the use of CPT, CBT, DBT, ACT/TF-ACT, mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based therapy - among others.
In working with the Anxiety and Trauma Clinic of Nova Scotia, I hope to provide my clients with a space where they can seek comfort in the uncomfortable, feeling safe and supported throughout their journey - no matter where in that journey they are. I very much look forward to hearing from you and working together on your path to a kind mind!

As seen under treatment preferences, I utilize a wide range of approaches in my practice - often a combination of several to ensure the most customized approach. However, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is one of the more structured therapeutic approaches I am familiar with utilizing. CPT teaches one how to evaluate and alter problematic thoughts/beliefs often arising as a result of trauma.
