I work primarily with couple/relationships as well as adult individuals and I'm often struck by how challenging being in relationship can be, both with ourselves and with others. Yet, I have also seen that when we join with others in exploring these challenges, we can develop a greater capacity to appreciate what sets us apart while nourishing connection. I also believe that relationships are expansive and include the ones we have with past or different parts of ourselves, people who are no longer with us or never were, people we hope to meet or become, and even with substances, places, objects, bodies, and identities.
Unsurprisingly, my approach to therapy is relational, as well as systemic and attachment oriented. I am equally informed by my previous career as a Registered Nurse and emphasize somatic and nervous system oriented practices, and am trained in EMDR.
