During each session, we will be implementing creative, expressive & structured counselling styles into our time together. What does that mean? Put simply, we work through processing what has brought you to therapy by talking about it AND creating about it. You don’t have to be the next Picasso to try Art Therapy - you just have to show up with some colouring tools & somewhere for them to land. The art that you make during your session is not about what is on the canvas, it’s about how YOU see it.
Your session at Studio Therapy will blend CBT psychotherapy (talk therapy) & the creative process (expressing your feelings using any art tool like pens/markers/crayons/paint etc) to promote emotional growth & healing. This process is not about being "good" at art, its about art being good for you.
