I specialize in Reproductive Mental Health which includes mental health difficulties during the various high risk times in a woman's life: perinatal, and peri menopausal in particular. In addition to working with pregnant and new mothers, I work with women experiencing the challenges of midlife transitions. These highly vulnerable times require compassion and support which I provide with counseling and if need be, medication. Social support is a very effective means for getting better. I will provide resources for different support networks in Seattle and outlying areas.
In addition to reproductive mental health, I offer counseling and/or medication management for both men and women with a variety of mood and adjustment issues.
I provide thorough medication evaluations for both men and women which include diagnosis and recommendations. I try to thoroughly educate my patients so they know what to expect. I also suggest various alternative methods to treat mood challenges if the individual's symptoms are not too severe.
