I am a licensed, board certified Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 10+years of experience in psychiatry. I provide prescription medication management and various psychotherapy techniques to help my clients obtain short and long-term symptom relief. My office is an accepting, supportive space where we will explore more effective ways to rest and heal our minds. I specialize in depression, anxiety, ADD, grief, and self-esteem issues.I am also a student and scholar of Tibetan and Asian Medicines, having just returned from a Fulbright Scholar grant in India, where I have been researching efficacy of Traditional Tibetan medicines.
I work closely with my clients to determine the most beneficial medications. I offer a positive, uplifting style of psychotherapy often combined with CBT and Mindfulness/Meditation exercises which help to release habitual negative thought patterns. My ultimate goal is to empower my clients so they can realize happiness and freedom within themselves
I have studied with leading meditation masters extensively for 15 years, completing a number of 100 day intensive silent meditation retreats and dozens of group and solo week-long and month-long silent retreats. I am humbled and gratified to be able to share the benefits of these practices.
