Dr. John Abraham

Psychiatrist , DO

(512) 271-5021
I am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I provide assessment and treatment for a variety of behavioral, emotional, social problems, and autism spectrum disorders.I work with a vast array of patients and offer psychotherapy along with medication management. I believe that medications are only a small part of treatment. Every one of my patients is unique and treatment should be tailored to the needs of the individual. I recently started my practice and have nearly immediate availability.
As a general, child, and adolescent psychiatrist I treat all age groups. I focus on early psychological development and it's impact on later life. I believe that psychotherapy is an intergral part of wellness and medication decisions should consider the complex psychosocial issues of the individual.
I believe in a philosophy of medicine that recognizes the inter-relatedness of the body, mind, and spirit. The focus of medicine should be to find health, not illness. My practice revolves around a person-centered, collaborative model that works to find long term solutions to mental illness.
