I am an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in medication management. I received my graduate degree from Yale University School of Nursing in 2006. In addition to being a Nurse Practitioner, I have been a psychiatric RN for 28 years. Prior to entering Yale, I worked for 7 years on a major Harvard Medical School psychiatric teaching unit. I am a conservative prescriber and believe in using the smallest possible dosages of medication to treat a client's symptoms. I do a very thorough initial evaluation with my clients and work with them closely until they are stable on their medications.
Initial evaluations are $250 for 2 and 1/2 hours. If needed, additional time is at $150/hour. Medication Management visits cost a minimum of $93.75 unless a sliding scale is requested. I accept Aetna insurance. An initial evaluation covered by insurance is usually completed in six sessions.
I believe in integrated care and am willing to work closely with your therapist to prevent the fragmentation of care. It's important for you to feel comfortable working with me, so please call me if you have any questions. I look forward to speaking with you!
