Dr. Sierra-Doreen Wong

Psychiatrist , MD

(520) 505-1751
Dr. Sierra Wong, MD is a Harvard-trained relational psychiatrist with 19 years' experience. I provide both psychotherapy and medication management services for those clients who seek the unique integration of a medical understanding with a psychodynamic focus. I work from an empowerment approach, focused on education and psychological understanding for the client. I believe in spending the time that is rarely provided in more medically-focused settings, and enjoy helping clients reach their goals of meaningful and enduring psychospiritual healing.
I practiced in Boston after completing my residency in 1995 until moving to Tucson in 2010. Since that time, I have worked with the University of Arizona Campus Health Service (2010-2014) and the Southern AZ Veterans Administration at their Northwest Community-based clinic.
I enjoy working with clients to understand how individual psychologies are shaped by those around us, attending to the unique gender, race, class and cultural issues that impact who we are. I do not treat individuals under the age of 18 or evaluate for ADHD.
