I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Thoughtful Psychiatry, P.C. I provide psychotherapy and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of stress related conditions. As therapist and prescriber, I try to pave the way for my clients to tell their stories and feel truly understood. I strive to provide a safe environment that allows for self-expression. While diagnosis can be helpful, I believe that each individual enters treatment with a unique set of circumstances, and that it is important to focus on the needs of each individual rather than focus only on his or her symptoms.

Welcome! I'm a board-certified psychiatrist offering psychotherapy and thoughtful medication management. I'm on faculty at Harvard Medical School and work as a staff psychiatrist at McLean hospital, in addition to my time in my confidential private practice. I do deep work with clients to help them understand themselves and heal from trauma, master emotion-regulation, and thrive in relationships and under the stresses of life. I work with clients new to therapy as well as clients who have tried numerous therapies and/or medications and haven't gotten the results they wanted. I listen and work collaboratively with you.

My patients often share with me that they look forward to their appointments with me as an opportunity to heal, to learn, and to grow in ways that were surprising to them. That is one of the most gratifying parts of my work. I am passionate about offering a holistic and inviting approach to emotional health treatment. I have significant training and experience to provide the most comprehensive care possible and deeply connect with patients. I attended medical school at Tufts University, and completed my adult residency program at Harvard Medical School (MGH/McLean). I am also certified through Postpartum Support International.

Bex Kaye is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts who has been practicing since 2023. She studied at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Columbia University, and Wellesley College. Bex thoughtfully integrates psychodynamic principles and individualized approaches to medication management. She encourages patients to approach their challenges with curiosity and compassion, exploring root causes to gain insights that promote deep healing.

At Kind Mind, we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where patients can feel comfortable, heard and that they are in partnership with their doctor to meet their goals. Therapy can be a wonderful way for patients to understand themselves, relationships, and patterns of interacting in a deeper way to effect positive change in their lives. At times, medication is needed in conjunction with therapy to address acuity of symptoms and augment progress. We also provide medication evaluation and treatment.

I am an integrative practitioner licensed in NJ & MA who can assess biochemistry to identify important deficiencies/abnormalities that may be related to mental health symptoms. I can provide genetic testing for med management. Patients often seek integrative/"functional" psychiatry after they have trialed multiple medications, experienced unpleasant/unremitting side effects, and have not been able to obtain symptom alleviation with traditional psychiatry. I believe strongly in psychotherapy to help the patient work towards healing. I work collaboratively with other treatment providers and am a strong advocate for my patients needs.

Ashley Keane-Ames is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts who has been practicing since 2016. Ashley focuses on building lasting relationships with clients and creating an environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions about their treatment plans and medications. She encourages all clients to be active participants in their mental health treatment and care as a way to build independence, confidence, and trust with their entire clinical team. Through rapport building, consistency, and knowledgeable insights, Ashley uplifts clients to be active participants in their mental wellness.

I am a Harvard-trained, double board-certified, child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, providing a high level of expertise and knowledge to my patients. As part of my commitment to delivering comprehensive and specialized care, I have collaborated with two fellow academic psychiatrists to establish a group private practice, ReThink Minds, LLC, which offers a broad spectrum of services to our patients. I believe that every patient is unique and therefore requires a personalized approach to their care. My goal is to provide personalized care that addresses not just symptoms, but also unique circumstances and experiences.

Dr. Nicholas Barnes is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist in the Boston area (Belmont, MA). He provides treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, addiction and chronic pain. As a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and additionally a board-certified pain medicine physician, he is uniquely qualified to bridge the gap between medical and psychological treatments.
