Brushing pain aside leads to feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Understanding the context of early life templates creates wider awareness, more nuance and strength in relationship to ourselves and others. My experiences in therapy, teaching and supervising have made me aware of the importance of early experience which become templates for relating.
We will let the work develop in a way that works for you by letting things come out gradually. Medication may facilitate and augment psychotherapy, but psychodynamic psychotherapy has been shown to have longer term benefits. I am near highways, and downtown, with free parking.
