My name is Mojeed Akintayo(aka Dr. A). I am a practicing psychiatrist in Greensboro, NC. I completed my medical education at College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. I proceeded to Columbia University, Harlem Hospital Center in New York City where I completed my training in Adult/General Psychiatry. I attended fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. I am Board Certified in Adult and general Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I have worked as a staff psychiatrist at various hospitals.
I am a psychiatrist at Wesley Long/Cone health hospital Greensboro, NC. I was the Associate Medical Director at CCNC in Jacksonville, NC where I worked for four years in an outpatient setting treating behavioral disorders affecting Adults, Children & Adolescent.
I have concentrated my efforts on delivering evidenced based mental health services and reducing the stigma associated with behavioral disorders. My areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, women's issues relating to mental health, ADHD, autism, depressive disorder, substance abuse related disorders, psychosis & bipolar disorders.
