Hello and thank you for your interest. I am a Columbia University trained MD PhD and a Yale trained board certified adult psychiatrist. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, unusual perceptions and distressful voice hearing. In addition to my private practice, I am the unit chief of a psychiatric inpatient unit at a medical center. I am also a clinical instructor with the Yale School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine.
My approach to psychiatric care and psychotherapy is open-minded, collaborative and evidenced-based. I have a breadth of experience in psychopharmacology and in genetic testing to optimize treatment decisions. I am also a proponent of alternative medicine and I encourage clients to include exercise, meditation and spiritual practice in their recovery.
