I strive to bring curiosity, openness, compassion, and a non-judgmental stance to my work and I challenge my patients to do the same. My patients want a way to feel and express their feelings and no longer avoid them. They want to open up their capacity for joy and acceptance.
My primary modality is therapy or psychoanalysis (an immersive form of psychotherapy). I can supplement my work with medication management with my own therapy patients or by partnering with the patient’s therapist. My goal is to get to know the person as a whole and not what medication will “work” as there are often many dimensions to what causes distress.
Opening up to someone about our struggles can be difficult. It takes time to build trust. I work to create a space with my patients to explore their thoughts, patterns, and feelings in order to make sense of their own minds. Feel free to contact the practice with questions. I wish you the best in your next steps.
