Dr. H. Ho, MD, MPH, Psychiatrist in Boston
I am a Johns-Hopkins-trained, award-winning Harvard psychiatrist, affiliated with McLean and MassGeneral for Children at NSMC. Do you feel no one understands your grief, burden, or remorse? You don't have to endure alone. My patient population is diverse, from abuse survivors to addiction recoverees, children with anxiety to elders with dementia, Christian to LGBTQ individuals. I may help you and your loved ones too. Medications help, but should be individualized and used only when necessary. Therefore, I collaborate with my psychology & alternative therapy colleagues to explore other options, eg. dietary & music therapy for patients with autism.
Board-certified in both adult and child psychiatry, I am also credentialed to prescribe Suboxone, and administer electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), which is indicated only for selected patients but has helped many, including a former Massachusetts governor's wife. I also advocate for using fewer medications whenever possible.
My research area includes gambling, substance addiction, and autism. I offer weekend and evening appointments, and flexible locations in Boston, Brookline/Longwood area, Wellesley, and Burlington. I do not take insurance, but will issue you a receipt for any applicable insurance reimbursement.
