I believe that each patient has a right to choose his or her own path in treatment. My job is to guide you in understanding the medical causes, therapy options and potential results in order to enable your right to make informed choices about your mental health. I specialize in mental health issues as based on an integrative, evidence based approach to mind, body and spirit. I focus on identifying and treating the individual rather than the symptoms.
I received my MS in Educational Psychology from Ohio State University, MS in Nursing from BYU, and PhD in Psycho-Neurobiology from Southwestern University in Arizona, with extensive post-graduate research on the treatment of pediatric physical, sexual, mental and emotional abuse at the Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH.
As a Captain in the US Air Force, I have had the privilege of holding Presidential appointments on the International Development Agency and the National Institute for Health. I have been a Professor in the College of Nursing at Ohio State University, Tokyo University in Japan and Brigham Young University.
