I am a board certified psychiatrist, practicing in Westwood, who specializes in the evaluation, consultation, and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience using evidence-based medicine and psychotherapy to help my patients live more fulfilling lives. I address important lifestyle factors (i.e. sleep, diet, exercise, supplements, substance use), and their effects on one's mental and physical health, to promote healthful living. Throughout my career, I have treated a wide range of conditions. I listen to and work together with my patient to determine the best course of treatment to optimize his/her wellbeing.
I attended Brown University for both my undergraduate and medical school education. After graduating, I moved to Chicago and completed my psychiatry residency at McGaw Medical Center/Northwestern University. I then completed my child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at University of Chicago where I served as chief fellow.
In addition to my private practice, I have been working at UCLA Counseling & Psychological Services for over fifteen years. The students vary in age from adolescence up to older adult years, and present with a variety of conditions. I especially enjoy treating anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD among other conditions.
