The goal of our work together will be to enable you to achieve your full potential. I have an interest in exploring conflicts related to work, love, family, and the past. I work with clients to help them gain a deeper understanding into their feelings, motivations, and how past relationships map onto present day ones. Emphasis is placed on identifying repeating patterns and self-sabotage.
As a board-certified psychiatrist with an extensive background in psychodynamic psychotherapy, I am able to address the concerns of my clients through insight, empathy, and (if needed) medication. I have experience working with young professionals, students, immigrants, and racial and sexual minorities.
In addition, for those looking for more meaningful self-knowledge, I offer psychoanalysis - typically on the couch, 4-5 times a week. I believe that this is the most effective and powerful way to gain access into the unconscious mind, and remove barriers to feeling free to love, work and play.
