Most psychiatrists do not have in-depth training in therapy, nor alternative treatments. Having additional psychoanalytic training, which is probably one of the most extensive and comprehensive trainings of the mind, body, and human development, allows me to evaluate someone beyond the surface, and have layers of assessment beyond conventional.
I'm also a psychedelic informed clinician who served as a therapist for the MAPS clinical PTSD trial, and work with novel alternative treatment methods, including ketamine assisted therapy. I believe in developing an alliance, trust, and providing you with education and treatment options available, empowering you to make informed decisions around your care.
