I attempt to provide a caring environment and foster a relationship with each patient in order to identify and explore those issues.
An increasing number of people suffer from depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. Having a mental health disorder can be frightening and overwhelming especially when one doesn’t know where to go to for help. My practice offers that place where I attempt to answer your questions and allay your fears. My work with my patients emphasizes compassion, empathy and support. During the initial assessment, I conduct a detailed Diagnostic evaluation in order to devise an Individualized and Comprehensive Treatment plan unique to the needs of each patient. I am Board Certified in both General and Forensic Psychiatry.

The job you interviewed did not come through, the diagnosis you were hoping was not true was confirmed, the relationship you invested in failed, the extra bill that needs to be paid immediately or else, you failed out of classes and will not be able to obtain your degree , the unexpected life lost.
Many have asked me what does ALIGN mean or stand for. ALIGN stands for the steps that one must take when attempting to align themselves back to their "baseline." or better! A vehicle comes out of alignment gradually over time from treading over minor imperfections as do we. One should realize the process for alignment again does not happen overnight nor is it a lifetime guarantee. One may find themselves out of alignment multiple times in their lives due to the wear and tear of life’s imperfections. Alignment is a condition of the present that we hope maintains its position into our future though of the present.

We can work together to build a client - practitioner trusting relationship with the common goal of helping you become the best person you can be.
Hello, I am Amy Pharr, a Family Nurse Practitioner of 29 years and a Family Psychiatric Mental Health NP of 19 years comfortable with seeing clients of all ages with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, ADHD, Impulse Control Disorders, and PTSD. My ideal client would have some sort of trauma history - whether it be mental, sexual, physical, or emotional -- needing medication management and therapy. I see people in NY, FL, SC and Virginia. My clients want to be able to sleep, go about their day without flashbacks or affect from triggers, and to merely live with some sort of pleasure and "normalcy" in life.

We all have solutions within us – it is a matter of learning how to tap into these solutions. The most effective way to heal is by focusing on your strengths and harnessing your available resources while controlling the symptoms. At Inspire Behavioral Health, we consider all treatment options available and strive to take a balanced and integrative approach. While it’s necessary to target the symptoms that lead someone to get help, but it is also important to understand that people are much more than the symptoms they are experiencing.

Relationship Issues Psychiatrists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
