The issues my client would have would either be a certain mood disorder that needs to be addressed or they are struggling with addiction. Their ultimate goal would be to address the problem because they want to live a life where they don’t feel hindered by their diagnosis. In addition, we together will come up with reasonable solutions to help alleviate and manage their diagnoses.

Dr. Peace Peters is a doctoral-trained board-certified family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner. Peace Specializes across lifespans, treating all ages from children, adolescents, adults and geriatric mental health and wellness. Dr. Peters serves Maryland and Virginia. She has over 20 years of healthcare experience working in different healthcare settings in inpatient and outpatient in the DMV area. Her experience includes working in; general medicine and surgery, bariatric surgery, telemetry, orthopedics, pediatric medicine, Critical Care Unit and long-term care.

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, it will be my goal to advocate for patients who struggle to be heard or respected, and to manage their treatment with compassion, understanding, and attention to medication management and therapy. My job is to manage your medications successfully, providing you with an enhanced quality of life. I am currently seeing clients in Virginia and Georgia will follow.

Javier is a highly qualified psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive experience in managing mood disorders, particularly bipolar disorder. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in 2019 and began working as a Charge Nurse at an inpatient substance abuse and mental health unit. Recognizing the need for more advanced knowledge and training, he went on to earn his Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University and a Post-Master's certificate to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Shenandoah University.
