I am a board certified child and adolescent Clinical Nurse Specialist providing diagnostic psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, psychopharmacological interventions, psycho-education, family therapy and couples work. I seek to help individuals understand and cope with their current emotions, stressors and life changes through what is known as the therapist/client connection. This is often over looked. Hi there, I have been trained to treat many psychiatric illnesses and issues, with both medication and psychotherapy. The treatment I provide is often a unique combination which pulls from several different types of therapies, including interpersonal psychodynamic, supportive, DBT and CBT. My patient population ranges from children as young as 6 years old to adults. The majority of children I work with are struggling with anxiety or ADHD, often both. The adolescents and adults that I treat have a variety of issues, including anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders and mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder.

I am a psychiatrist, with board certifications from ABPN in both, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Prior to pursuing my psychiatry career, I worked as a general physician in primary care, an experience that taught me skills I still use today. I have had a private practice in medication management for 21 years in several locations; am currently licensed in Connecticut and New Jersey, but am able to do telehealth appointments wherever you are located. Patients have found this to be very helpful, as we can connect from your home or work. My experience is in multiple settings: inpatient, outpatient, and crisis intervention. I have also served as a consultant to patients with mental health concerns in a neurology practice and in an HIV clinic. I have held faculty positions at several universities, and currently serve as an associate professor at UPENN's School of Nursing.
