My name is Kelly, and I am dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to you! As a mental health professional, I understand that seeking help can be a daunting and overwhelming experience. Hablo Español- I am a dual-board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner with over 14 years of experience in the healthcare field. I provide compassionate and culturally sensitive mental healthcare to children, adolescents, and adults. I feel confident dealing with individuals with conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder and parenting challenges. I use an integrative approach to empower my clients to achieve their goal in their mental health journey. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish.

I am a DNP, board-certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner with a career in healthcare and education spanning over twenty years, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the field. I also have experience treating patients with anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), thought disorders such as schizophrenia and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I’m also experienced in buprenorphine maintenance therapy, helping patients maintain abstinence from opioids.

I am a bilingual (Spanish) Child, Adolescent and young Adult Psychiatrist. I treat most psychiatric illnesses in children, teenagers and young adults. I am comfortable treating patients of any age, gender, sexual orientation, race, cultural or religious background. My name is Shannon Turner-Anderson. I am a Florida Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I hold a Master's Degree in Nursing from Alabama University in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Before relocating to Florida, I lived in Windsor, Connecticut. I am married with three daughters, ages seven, seventeen, and twenty-two. I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church on Sundays, and watching track and field and basketball. I am passionate about mental health care.

I offer psychiatric evaluations and medication management for anyone over 16 years of age suffering with symptoms that cause impairment in any aspect of life (e.g., professional, personal, social, self-care). I help my patients manage discomfort due to depression, anxiety, symptoms of bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, attention deficit, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, among others. Therapy begins with an extensive evaluation taking into account the patient's medical/psychiatric history, medical conditions, family history, previous treatment. Hi there, I am originally from Michigan and moved to Brevard County, FL in 1997. I have a BA in Communications from Michigan State University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan. I worked for Candle Lighters of Brevard, when I first moved to town. worked Labor Delivery/Mother Baby at Wuesthof Melbourne for five years, during which time I went back to University of Central Florida to achieve my MSN/ Family Nurse Practitioner.

My true passion was always psychiatry and medical school was always just a means to an end for me. After returning to the United States, I spent some time with my family in Tampa, FL and put myself through the tedious licensure process here. Four exams and around a dozen clinical internship experiences later, I found myself finally beginning my post-graduate training in General Adult Psychiatry in Miami, FL.
