I am board certified to treat children, adolescents, and adults for simple, multiplex, and the most challenging psychiatric disorders. I have extensive experience with hospital, community, and outpatient practices with a substantial range of patients from different ethnic, sexual, and socio-economic backgrounds. My patients often say that my distinctive perspective helps to form the open, trusting, and personable relationship I have with them. As a prescriber of psychiatric medications, I enjoy working with a wide variety of patients, and digging deep to find the solution(s) to the difficulties that might be causing you distress.

After spending nearly a decade in children’s mental health, I decided it was time to change lanes. Shifting Focus was created to offer a more personalized approach in treating the emotional and behavioral challenges that children and adolescents may face. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a special interest in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, and trauma. While these are areas of interest, I am comfortable and proficient with treating all psychiatric disorders .
