I'm a Board Certified, Duke-trained psychiatrist. I listen with compassion, warmth, and acumen to understand people's struggles and see their unique strengths. I'm trained and experienced in multiple psychotherapy modalities including biorhythm therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, acceptance commitment therapy, DBT, cognitive therapy for sleep, yoga, and psychodynamics. I have a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to medication therapy and strive to collaborate with my clients. Dr. Megan Freeman is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry. She completed her residency training at Vidant Medical Center at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina in 2021 where she was the chief resident. Since then, she has worked as an attending physician at an inpatient adult psychiatric unit in Burlington, North Carolina. As a resident and attending she has treated adults of all ages and in all areas of mental health.

Dr. Reid is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She completed medical school at the University of South Carolina and Residency in Psychiatry at University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Reid feels that the field of Psychiatry is unique in that it requires a collaborative, whole person approach to Medical care. She has always enjoyed this aspect of being a Psychiatrist, spending time getting to know patients, unfolding and understanding together the complex interplay of medical and Psychosocial events that create the symptoms we focus on in treatment.

I am a double board-certified Psychiatrist with experience treating children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges including but not limited to depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), ADHD, adjustment issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, peripartum depression and anxiety, and psychosis. I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist run a private practice called Max Psychiatry, conveniently located in Apex, NC. I have been practicing psychiatry from over 10 years in Cary, Apex, Durham, Raleigh Holly Springs, Wake Forest area of NC. I believe in comprehensive treatment plan with an appropriate blend of psychotherapy and medication management. After graduating with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Eastern Virginia Medical School, Kate spent years working in Emergency Medicine treating patients from all backgrounds and life experiences during some of their darkest moments. Dr. Michele Kerbow is a board certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She completed her undergraduate training at Clemson University before continuing to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. From there, she completed her General Psychiatry Internship and General Adult Psychiatry Residency through the University of Virginia in Roanoke. Though she has a wide array of experience in psychiatric care and psychological assessment, Dr. Kerbow has a particular interest in the treatment of Veterans' issues and trauma.

Byeolah Henson PA-C, graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of South Florida. Prior to PA school, she received a B.S in Biology from the University of Florida. Byeolah is experienced in treating patients with a variety of behavioral health issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, substance abuse, and more. She is fluent in English and Korean, both of which play a important role in her day to day clinical work.

Meet Katasha Jarrin, PMHNP, FNP, a seasoned healthcare professional with nearly two decades of experience.

I use a complete approach to patient care, with emphasis on providing psychoeducation to patients and their families on the mind-body connection. I encourage my patients to be active advocates and participants in their treatment planning and care, including the use of complementary and natural therapies. I am also a strong proponent of optimizing outcomes through the concurrent use of therapy and mindfulness training in addition to pharmacological and other treatments. I appreciate working with all types of individuals and their unique concerns.

KaShea, PMHNP-BC graduated with a master’s from Maryville University in Saint Louis Missouri. Prior to Nurse Practitioner school, she received her BSN from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Kashea has experience in assisting individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses in the outpatient and community setting. She believes in meeting people where they are to provide hope, support, and compassion. Kashea also lives by the golden rule and treats everyone with respect. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and attending sporting events.

I am a Board Certified PMHNP, with experience working with adults and adolescents with varied psychiatric disorders including, but not limited to ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, Alcohol and Substance use disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders to name a few. I also enjoy working with the older adult/geriatric population with disorders that include, but are not limited to Major Neurocognitive disorders, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia. I use a patient centered approach to patient care, with emphasis on providing psychoeducation to patients and their families.
