Some the conditions that I commonly evaluate and treat include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma related conditions, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (adhd), psychosis, neurodevelopmental conditions, autism spectrum disorder, issues that often affect LGBTQ+ individuals, professionals in crisis, cultural stressors and family conflict. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management and therapy.

I have been involved in medical research, medical activism and have held several leadership roles. Since graduation I have worked in settings with severe mental illness and patients who have treatment-resistant illness. These experiences have helped me to excel at Psychopharmacology as I have extensive knowledge using a variety of medications. I have training in working with diverse populations in a variety of clinical settings. I am warm, compassionate, understanding, and culturally sensitive. This helps guide me into forming an accurate diagnosis and medication plan for each individual patient.

Dr. Iman Parhami is a triple-board certified psychiatrist (Child Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine) who completed his child and adolescent psychiatry training at Johns Hopkins University. He strongly believes that diagnoses do not define individuals. Instead, diagnoses can help classify a set of symptoms and can help identify empirically supported treatments for that class of symptoms. He also believes that psychiatric treatments cannot just include psychopharmacology but must include a multi-disciplinary approach that is family-driven and culturally sensitive.
