I am a board certified psychiatrist and scientist with over 10 years experience in the practice of evidence-based medicine. While I specialize in treating patients experiencing disturbed moods and poor impulse control (e.g. Bipolar disorder and ADHD), I treat nearly the full spectrum of psychiatric conditions. With expertise in psychiatry and neurobiology I provide patients with an individualized approach that combines the most effective tools including cognitive-behavioral therapy and state-of-the-art psychopharmacology.

Dr. Kumar is an adult and geriatric psychiatrist seeing patients at his Los Angeles office and virtually. Dr. Kumar believes in a humane and comprehensive approach to mental health care across the lifespan. He emphasizes the impact of past experiences on emotional well-being, practicing trauma-informed care that draws from his work with military veterans. He enjoys helping patients through major life transitions like graduation and career changes, aging and retirement, and relationship conflict. He is also experienced at helping older adults confront late-life challenges like chronic disease, memory loss, and grief.

Dr. Lee is a psychiatrist specializing in general adult and geriatric psychiatry. She has worked with patients from diverse backgrounds in various settings including academic institutions, city/county hospitals, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. After working as a research fellow at UCLA for a year, she completed psychiatry residency training at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital in New York City, where she received the Dirk Berger Award for Scholarly Activities in 2017 and 2019. She completed fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry.
