Renaissance Behavioral Medicine provides psychotherapy and medication management services for children, teens and adults for various mental health conditions including but not limited to major depressive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, substance addiction and all anxiety disorders. Services are provided in person and via telehealth for Southern and Northern California residents.

I am a board certified psychiatrist, a medical doctor who specializes in treating adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. I apply a combination of medication management and individual therapy. The first appointment is to identify the symptoms that are causing distress or interfering with patient’s function to make treating these particular symptoms a clinical priority. Examples may be difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up too early in the morning, excessive worry or finding it hard to “let things go”, feeling tired all of the time or losing interest in things.

I treat various psychiatric disorders including the following: mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders; addiction - substance, sex/love, and others; geriatric psychiatric disorders, with the utilization of comprehensive memory evaluations; women's mental health (concerns about psychotropic medications during pregnancy & breast feeding); transgender Issues. I utilize psychopharmacology and/or individual psychotherapy to best address the problem at hand.

New Visions Medical Group was founded by Dr. Rodney Collins and is comprised of many psychiatrists, therapists and nurse practitioners who all specialize in mental issues and process disorders. We treat teenagers, adults and elderly patients at our location starting with assessment, diagnosis and medication management. Patients who suspect they may be suffering from depression, anxiety, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, addiction/alcoholism, and other process disorders are treated at our office. Treating the causes of addiction and mood disorders involves understanding both the biologic effects and human experiences of illness. As a psychiatrist boarded in both Addiction and Adult Psychiatry, I have experience with a broad range of mental illnesses and specialize in treating addiction and mood disorders. An important part of my treatment philosophy is to develop a physician-patient relationship which becomes the foundation for successful treatment.

I've worked with clients of all backgrounds who have struggled with addiction, process disorders and various mental heath issues. My goal after the initial assessment, is to work with the client to develop a course of action to get better.
